Drives me crazy. I think this is at least partly a generational thing (and it's neither of our generations). I got a Walkman a while back, had three buttons and 150 functions. My son, Dave, looked at it, tried them ll out, and thought it was really cool. I felt like smashing it because I knew I would never remember ANY of the combinations. One school of thought is, maximum number of things you can do with minimum size and buttons. Other school, make it simple and intuitive so I don't have to waste precious and scarce grey matter remembering arcane stuff.
